Your First Visit

What happens at your consultation.

Every new patient starts with a doctor-led consultation before treatment. Here is what to expect before you commit to anything.

£30 consultation fee — fully redeemable against any treatment you go on to have with us. If you decide not to proceed, you have still had a full medical assessment and a personal plan to consider.

Step by Step

Six steps, in order, every time.

01

A private, unrushed start

You are seen in a private treatment room at The Glen Clinic. We ask about your medical history, medications, allergies and any previous aesthetic treatments. Nothing is decided before that conversation happens.

02

A proper facial assessment

The doctor assesses your facial anatomy, muscle movement, symmetry and skin quality — at rest and in expression. This is a clinical assessment, not a product recommendation.

03

Honest options, including none

You are told what is realistic, what we advise against, and whether treatment is appropriate for you.

04

A personal plan and full consent

We agree a clear plan covering what is being used, where, what it costs and what to expect. Risks and side effects are explained in full before you sign anything.

05

Treatment on the day, if you choose

If you are happy with the plan and it is clinically appropriate, treatment can usually be carried out during the same visit. If you would rather think it over first, you can arrange treatment later — your £30 consultation fee remains redeemable against a suitable treatment booked within six months.

06

Aftercare and follow-up

You leave with clear aftercare advice, a direct way to reach us, and the offer of a review appointment so we can assess your result together.

What to bring

  • Photo ID confirming you are 18 or over.
  • A list of any prescription or over-the-counter medicines you take.
  • Details of allergies, including to local anaesthetic or lidocaine.
  • Dates and details of any previous aesthetic treatments, including filler.
  • Any questions you would like answered — no question is too small.

How to prepare

  • Come with a clean face if you can; make-up is removed before treatment.
  • Avoid alcohol the night before, which can increase bruising.
  • Eat beforehand — being treated on an empty stomach can make you lightheaded.
  • Allow around 30 minutes, and a little longer if you decide to be treated on the day.
  • Let us know if you have an event coming up so we can time treatment sensibly.
