Common questions

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes, always. Every new patient has a medical consultation with one of our doctors before any treatment is planned or performed. You are given time to consider your options and can always take longer to decide — if the plan is agreed and treatment is clinically appropriate, it can often be carried out at the same visit, but you are never asked to decide on the spot.

How much is the consultation?

A £30 consultation fee is payable when your appointment is confirmed. It secures your appointment and covers your medical consultation, and if you proceed with a suitable treatment through Aekho the full £30 is deducted from your treatment cost.

Are your treatments safe?

We follow strict consent and safety protocols, and appropriate medical indemnity is maintained. Every treatment is only offered after a face-to-face consultation and informed consent.

How much does treatment cost?

Pricing is confirmed at your consultation, based on your individual treatment plan. You'll know the exact cost before you commit to anything.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. Treatment payments are made by card, and can be spread using Klarna or Clearpay.

What if I'm not sure treatment is right for me?

That's exactly what the consultation is for. One of our doctors will give you an honest opinion — including telling you if a treatment isn't necessary or suitable.

How long do results last?

This depends on the treatment, your anatomy and how your body responds. One of our doctors will explain exactly what to expect for your specific treatment at consultation.

Does it hurt?

Most people find these treatments very tolerable. Anti-wrinkle injections use very fine needles, and lip filler products contain local anaesthetic. We can also apply numbing cream beforehand where appropriate.

Will I look overdone?

That is not our style of practice. Our approach is conservative and gradual — we would rather do slightly less and review you than overtreat. If we think a request would not look natural or is not in your interest, we will say so.

Is there a review appointment?

Yes. We offer a review after your first treatment so we can assess your result together and make any small adjustments that are clinically appropriate.

Can I have treatment if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. We do not offer anti-wrinkle injections or dermal fillers during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please let us know when you message us so we can rearrange for a suitable time.

What should I avoid before and after treatment?

We ask you to avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas, and facials for around 24–48 hours after treatment. Full instructions are on our Aftercare page and are given to you in person.

Do you treat under-18s?

No. We do not provide cosmetic injectable treatments to anyone under 18, without exception, under our clinic policy.

What happens if something doesn't look right afterwards?

Follow the urgent and emergency instructions on our Aftercare page. Other concerns and complications are reviewed by one of our clinicians, and you will be seen and reviewed rather than passed elsewhere.

Do I need to be photographed?

Standardised before and after photographs are taken as part of your clinical record, in the same way as any other clinical note — this is part of safe medical care. Using any image beyond your medical record, for example on our website or social media, is entirely separate and only ever happens with your specific written consent, which you can decline or withdraw at any time.

How do I cancel or change my appointment?

Call or WhatsApp our team on 07596 018063, email us, or reply to the message thread you arranged through. If you cancel your consultation with at least 48 hours' notice, your £30 consultation fee will be refunded in full. If you reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice, the fee will transfer to your new appointment at no additional charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice and missed appointments result in the £30 consultation fee being retained — see our Terms and Conditions for the full policy.

Where are you located?

We see patients at The Glen Clinic, Spiersbridge Business Park, 1 Spiersbridge Way, Thornliebank, Glasgow G46 8NG. There is free on-site parking. See our Contact page for directions.
