Terms & Conditions
Consultations
All new patients require a medical consultation before treatment. We reserve the right to decline treatment on clinical grounds — this is a safety measure, not a formality.
Appointments, cancellations and rescheduling
A £30 consultation fee is payable when a new-patient appointment is confirmed. It covers the medical consultation. If the patient proceeds with a suitable treatment through Aekho, the £30 fee is deducted from the treatment cost.
If you cancel your consultation with at least 48 hours' notice, your £30 consultation fee will be refunded in full. If you reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice, the fee will transfer to your new appointment at no additional charge.
Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided, the £30 fee is retained and a new consultation fee will be required before another appointment can be reserved.
The £30 fee is also retained where a patient does not attend their appointment.
Patients who arrive more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled if there is insufficient time to provide a safe and unhurried consultation or treatment. Where this happens, it may be treated as a late cancellation and a new consultation fee may be required.
If Aekho cancels an appointment, the patient may choose a full refund or transfer the fee to another available appointment.
If the patient attends the consultation but decides not to proceed, or treatment is not considered clinically appropriate, the £30 fee remains payable because the medical consultation has been provided. The fee will remain redeemable against a suitable Aekho treatment booked within six months of the consultation.
Exceptional circumstances may be considered at Aekho's reasonable discretion.
Pricing
All prices are confirmed at consultation before any treatment. Treatment begins only after written consent and confirmed pricing.
Results & reviews
Aesthetic outcomes vary between individuals and no specific result is guaranteed. Reviews are offered at 2–3 weeks where clinically appropriate; adjustments within the review window are at the doctor's clinical discretion. If a complication occurs following treatment with us, clinically indicated review and corrective care provided by Aekho are included at no additional charge; this does not extend to costs incurred with other providers, such as NHS, hospital or third-party care. Where a treatment has been carried out with reasonable care and skill, a refund is not automatically offered simply because the outcome is not what you hoped for — but nothing in these terms limits or removes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to a repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction where a service has not been performed with reasonable care and skill.
Medical disclosure
Safe treatment depends on accurate medical information. Withholding relevant medical information increases your risk, may make treatment unsafe, and may mean we are unable to treat you or to manage a complication in the way we otherwise would.
Age policy
We do not provide cosmetic treatments to anyone under 18, without exception.
Records
Clinical records, including photography, are held in line with our Privacy Policy.
Clinical photography & consent
Clinical photographs are taken before and after treatment as part of your medical record, and are required for safe assessment and review. These images are never used publicly — on our website, social media or in any marketing — unless you have given separate, specific written consent. That consent is entirely optional, does not affect your treatment, and can be withdrawn at any time by emailing info@aekho.co.uk.
Insurance & indemnity
Dr Ahsan Qaisar holds full GMC registration. Dr Nyle Qaisar provides non-surgical aesthetic treatments at Aekho as an aesthetic practitioner and does not provide services here as a registered medical practitioner. Appropriate indemnity is maintained for the treatments provided by each practitioner.
Clinic setting
Aekho operates from The Glen Clinic in Thornliebank. The Glen Clinic is an independent clinic registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland, and Aekho's practitioners hold practising privileges at the clinic.
Complaints procedure
We would rather hear from you than not. Please raise any concern with us first by emailing complaints@aekho.co.uk or writing to us at the registered office below. Our procedure is:
1. We acknowledge your complaint in writing within 3 working days.
2. A doctor reviews your clinical record and, where helpful, offers a review appointment at no charge.
3. We give you a full written response within 20 working days. If the review will take longer, we tell you why and when to expect our response.
4. If you remain dissatisfied, you may ask us to review the outcome once more, and you may raise the matter with Healthcare Improvement Scotland (the regulator of the independent clinic where we practise) or, in relation to a doctor's conduct, with the General Medical Council.
